WHY IS THIS INFORMATION IMPORTANT?
This page will tell you everything that you need to know about this SUV. Buying a vehicle is a huge accomplishment and a large financial outlay. We want you to have as much information as possible, so that you can make the best decision for you.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is a battery electriccompact luxurycrossover SUV produced by Audi. It is based on the Volkswagen Group electric MEB platform and is the fourth fully-electric model in the Audi e-tron series after the Audi e-tron, e-tron GT and Q2L e-tron. Production began in March 2021,[3] with the production version being unveiled in April 2021.
The Q4 e-tron was first shown as a near-series concept vehicle at Geneva Motor Show in 2019. Positioned in what Audi calls the “heart of the market”, the compact SUV segment,[7] its length of 4.58 m (180 in) is slightly shorter than that of the Audi Q5, although Audi claims that the Q4 e-tron offers comparable interior space. With 86 cm (34 in), the front overhangs are relatively short, allowing for a wheelbase of 2.76 m (109 in) while maintaining more compact overall dimensions.
Much of the exterior design such as the spoilers in front of the front wheel arches, the rear spoiler or the bars below the headlights was introduced with vehicle aerodynamics in mind. The Q4 e-tron achieves a drag coefficient of 0.26 in the Sportback version, which is worsened to 0.28 for the regular roofline model. Wheel sizes between 19 and 21 inch are offered.
Optional features include an augmented reality head-up display (HUD) and an 11.6 inch infotainment screen which can be controlled via voice commands.[8]

What the critics have to say…
The Audi Q4 e-tron could well be the car that convinces you electric vehicles are more than just a niche choice – and you’re likely to see a lot of them on the road.
WhatCar?
HOW DOES IT DRIVE?
The e-tron’s driving dynamics lean more toward comfort than agility, which is common with luxury vehicles. This Audi comes with an adaptive air suspension that contributes to its smooth ride. There’s minimal body roll around corners, and steering is accurate. It comes standard with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, which helps provide great road grip, and its regenerative brakes have a linear feel without the grabbiness that’s often associated with these systems.

IS IT RELIABLE AND HIGH QUALITY?
Is the Audi e-tron Reliable?
The 2022 Audi e-tron has a predicted reliability score of 62 out of 100. A J.D. Power predicted reliability score of 91-100 is considered the Best, 81-90 is Great, 70-80 is Average, and 0-69 is Fair and considered below average.
Audi e-tron Warranty
The 2022 Audi e-tron comes with a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty.
HOW COMFORTABLE IS IT?
The interior is a technological showcase for Audi’s latest and greatest gadgets. The Q4 e-tron’s cabin is similar to what’s available in other Audis and also incorporates a few unique features, such as a squared-off steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls and a toggle-switch gear selector. Although the Q4 e-tron concept was shown strictly as a four-seater, the production version will offer seating for five. The interior’s passenger space should be about the same as the gas-powered Q5’s. Cargo space isn’t as generous, however.

WHAT IS THE INTERIOR LIKE?
The Audi e-tron’s cabin is among the nicest in the luxury hybrid and electric SUV class. All of its materials look and feel upscale, including its soft-touch plastics. Every model is outfitted with leather upholstery, and the top trim features wood accents.

WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY LIKE?
Tech-forward interiors are Audi’s bread and butter so it’s no surprise they’re pulling out all the stops on new EVs. The automaker’s 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster is standard; base models will include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display while higher trims will include an 11.6-inch variant. Audi will also offer an augmented reality heads-up display that features navigation information and driver-assist info appearing to float in front of the car.

WHAT IS THE CARGO SPACE LIKE?
With 28.5 cubic feet behind the back row and 56.5 cubic feet with the back row folded down, the e-tron has an average amount of cargo space for the luxury hybrid and electric SUV class. The e-tron Sportback’s cargo numbers are slightly lower, with 27.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 54.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. All models come with a hands-free power liftgate.

IS THIS VEHICLE A GOOD VALUE?
Yes, it’ll cost you a pretty penny – especially with those alluring options – and that may make its more affordable Volkswagen ID4 or Skoda Enyaq serve more appeal, but with the understanding that there’s some compromise to the overall cabin by comparison.
Pocket-Lint
IS THE Q4 E-TRON A GOOD SUV?
Yes, the e-tron is a great fully electric SUV. It boasts confident handling and has minimal body lean around curves, while its adaptive air suspension simultaneously smooths out road bumps to create a supple ride. Its high-end cabin is stuffed with technology, including an intuitive dual-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa smartphone integration. However, this Audi lacks the driving range of some of its luxury electric SUV competitors.

SHOULD I BUY THE Q4 E-TRON?
The 2022 e-tron is definitely worth your consideration as you research the luxury hybrid and electric SUV class. If you want a vehicle with a longer driving range, however, you should check out rivals like the Tesla Model X and Tesla Model Y, both of which can drive farther on a single charge.

THE FINAL WORD
The Q4 E-Tron won’t knock you dead with it’s engine or interior, but it also won’t disappoint you. If you are considering an EV then it should be on your list.
